President’s Foreword

2022 - 2023

To All Members of H.I.B.A.

Well, we are slowly getting back to playing, now that the virus is hopefully relenting, and we think of those members we have lost. I acknowledge that the position of President is a privilege, and I will do all that I can to maintain and hold the position with dignity and enjoyment in the coming season

My time as a bowler started outdoors playing for Winchester City. Some eight years ago I joined Riverside IBC and found that I enjoyed it as much as outdoors, with the same comradery. I joined the committee as treasurer and lasted six years at the same time I became President and remained in that office for four years. During this period, I joined HIBA, and after two years I was offered the office of Junior Vice President which followed into Senior Vice President. Unfortunately, at this time our new President, Bob Dickie, passed away, a great loss to the club and to the game of bowls

There has been a great feeling of support from that period which I am very grateful for.  I will do my best to honour the office of President with the many friends that I have made within the sport

William (Bill) Lucas-Brown – President H.I.B.A.
